Our Story: The Founding of Hanave Secondary School Uganda (HSSU)

In the heart of Uganda, in the year 2025, a bold vision came to life — a vision to create a school where academic excellence meets values-based leadership, where innovation blends with tradition, and where young minds are nurtured to transform communities and shape the world.
That vision became Hanave Secondary School Uganda (HSSU).
Founded by a team of educators, leaders, and community developers under the umbrella of the Hanave Institute of Business, Management and Technology (HANAVE IBMT), HSSU was born out of the urgent need for a modern, inclusive, and empowering learning environment for Uganda’s youth.
The founders recognized that true education must go beyond passing exams; it must empower learners to lead change, build character, and serve with purpose. With this mission, HSSU opened its gates with just a few classrooms, a dedicated teaching staff, and a passionate belief: every student has potential—and deserves the opportunity to unlock it.
