At HSSU, our academic programs follow the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) curriculum for both Ordinary Level (O-Level) and Advanced Level (A-Level) education. Our approach blends academic rigor, 21st-century learning methodologies, and character development, equipping students with the skills needed to thrive in modern society.

🔹 1. O-Level Program (Senior 1 – Senior 4)

Core Subjects:

  • Entrepreneurship Education

Learning Enhancements:

🔹 2. A-Level Program (Senior 5 – Senior 6)

Students specialize in one of the following combinations based on career interest and academic performance:

Science Combinations:

  • PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)
  • PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
  • BCM (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics)
  • PEM (Physics, Economics, Mathematics)

Arts Combinations:

  • HEG (History, Economics, Geography)
  • HEL (History, Economics, Literature)
  • DEG (Divinity, Economics, Geography)
  • HLD (History, Literature, Divinity)

Subsidiary Subjects:

  • General Paper (GP)
  • Subsidiary Mathematics (for arts students)
  • Computer Studies

    Interactive digital boards, blended learning through Google Classroom, and virtual learning tools.
  • Competency-Based Education (CBE)

    Workshops, career fairs, mentorships, and university entrance coaching.
  • Assessment & Progress Monitoring Tools
    Digital performance tracking, individualized academic plans, and periodic feedback.
